The Project
The new lighting design project for the Church of Paese represents our company’s most recent work.
The main objective was to design and realise a lighting system that would make the most of the recently restored paintings and works of art, while respecting the sacredness and history of the place.
This project was approached with an innovative and creative approach, introducing a new lighting effect: a skilful play of contrasts between light and dark.
This effect guides the visitor along the naves of the Church, creating a suggestive atmosphere that respects the religious function of the space.
The combination of advanced technology and refined design made it possible to modernise the place, while preserving its spirituality and historical charm.

The How
Places of worship in Italy are true treasure troves of art.
In addition to being spaces for prayer and reflection, churches hold timeless masterpieces, including paintings, frescoes and sculptural works. No less important are the architectural structures themselves, testimonies of our cultural and spiritual heritage.
In this context, modern technology proves to be a valuable tool, capable of enhancing every artistic and architectural detail without altering the historical integrity of the places.
Thanks to the solutions offered by museum lighting, excellent results can be achieved even in complex environments such as churches.
In the case of the Church of Paese, we worked with very warm lights, capable of creating a cosy and intimate atmosphere. The strategic use of shadows allowed a clear subdivision of spaces, highlighting the structure of the three naves.
Furthermore, the products used are of the latest generation, selected to guarantee optimal colour rendering. This detail is fundamental to enhance the beauty of the materials and colours of the works of art present, giving them new life and visual intensity.

Re-Lamping
One of the most interesting challenges of this project was re- lamping, i.e. the replacement of traditional light sources with new LED technologies.
This process, which was carried out in parallel with the refurbishment of the electrical system, was one of the aspects that made us particularly proud.
In order to maintain the original appearance of the luminaires, we developed a tailor-made LED module that complied with the required dimensions and lighting characteristics.
The operation was a perfect example of coordination between our workshop and the installers: while the installer dismantled the steel luminaires, our team quickly regenerated them, replacing the old halogen bulbs with the new LED modules.
The process, designed for maximum speed and efficiency, reduced installation costs and ensured top-quality technical results. In just a few hours, the remanufactured luminaires were returned and promptly reinstalled, ensuring a smooth transition without significant disruption.

Possible Scenarios
Another distinctive aspect of the design is the flexibility of the lighting, which is perfectly adapted to different liturgical and celebratory requirements.
Thanks to the installation of an advanced touch control panel, it is possible to choose between different preset lighting scenarios.
Each scenario is designed to create the ideal atmosphere depending on the moment: from silent prayer to the celebration of large religious events.
The system allows individual adjustment of the intensity and hue of the lights, enabling the lighting to be concentrated on specific areas of the church.
This not only enriches the visual experience of visitors and worshippers, but also ensures functional and practical management of the entire system. Technology thus becomes a valuable ally in combining tradition and modernity, making every celebration a unique and engaging experience.
