Albert Bridge – Liège, Belgium

In Liège, a city crossed by the Meuse River and characterised by numerous bridges that facilitate the transit of cars, public transport and pedestrians, we were commissioned to replace the lighting on one of these bridges. The project involved the installation of a new LED lighting system, specifically designed to enhance the bridge’s architecture.

We chose to use wallwashers installed on the bridge’s handrails to illuminate the roadway, directing the light from the outside to the inside. To ensure optimal, glare-free lighting, we carried out a special lighting study to calculate the ideal inclination of the wallwashers. This type of lighting is ideal for street and architectural use, guaranteeing long life, maximum luminous efficiency and low energy consumption.
